Damian Willemse Stear Springboks To Great Win Against England

The Springboks played their last test on the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour against England and after a brilliant first half managed to secure their second win on the tour, beating England 27-13.

The first twenty minutes of the test was fairly even with both teams converting a penalty to level the score at 03-03 with sixty minutes to go. The Springboks at this stage mostly defended while England started to put some phases together.

The Springboks were set alight by the brilliance of Damian Willemse which eventually led to Kurt-Lee Arendse stepping past the defence of England. The Springboks were the dominant side after 40 minutes of play going into the second half leading 14-03.

England struggled from the start of the second half and was trailing 27-06 with 20 minutes to go. However, a red card to the Springboks could be extremely costly as England started their march to the Springboks' in-goal area.

The final quarter was dominated by England, however, their hard work only led to a single try. The Springboks' defence held for the remainder of the final quarter which helped them to a 27-13 well-deserved win.
