The Suzuki Griquas have named their matchday 23 to lock horns with the Sanlam Boland Cavaliers in their final round-robin fixture of the 2026 Carling Currie Cup league phase. The highly anticipated clash takes place this Sunday, 30 August 2026, at the Sanlam Boland Stadium in Wellington, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 SAST.
Having already secured a home semi-final with their dominant victory over the Airlink Pumas, the log-leading Griquas have opted to fine-tune their tactical approach. The most notable alteration comes at flyhalf, where the exciting Liam Koen steps into the number 10 jersey. Veteran playmaker George Whitehead shifts to the replacements bench to provide cover later in the contest.
In the tight five, Albert Liebenberg and Malembe Mpofu forge a fresh second-row partnership. They replace Derik Pretorius and Lungisi Mbiko. Meanwhile, Janco Uys slots onto the bench as the backup hooker, replacing Janus Venter. Keagan Blanckenberg, Gustav Erlank, and Cameron Hufke were omitted from selection as they continue recovery from injuries.
