The Hollywoodbets Sharks confirmed that injured players Andre Esterhuizen, Phatu Ganyane, and Jurenzo Julius are flying back to South Africa following Friday night's 36–21 Vodacom United Rugby Championship victory against Cardiff Rugby.
The trio represents three of the four players who were forced to leave the pitch during the match. Esterhuizen sustained a right ankle injury, Ganyane an injury to his right elbow, and Julius a right hamstring injury. All three players will undergo scans upon their arrival back home. They will subsequently consult with specialists to determine the severity of their respective injuries.
The touring squad has been bolstered by the arrival of Cameron Dawson, Litelihle Bester, and Suleiman Hartzenberg, who joined the team on Sunday.
The Sharks face Munster this coming Saturday in the final match of their overseas tour.
