DHL Stormers forwards coach Rito Hlungwani confirmed on Monday that flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Seabelo Senatla will not be available for their United Rugby Championship semi-final match against Leinster on Saturday at 18:30 (SA Time).
However, Hlungwani confirmed that lock Ruben van Heerden (concussion) and centre Dan du Plessis (knee) were both declared fit, and are travelling with the squad.
“Ruben is travelling, and Dan is also travelling. Seabelo suffered a concussion so unfortunately he won’t be coming with us, and we all know about the injury to Sacha. He will be out for a while. But we knew that on Saturday night (after the Cardiff game), so while both Seabelo and Sacha are a big loss, in terms of this week it has started okay.”
It is understood that Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu is facing an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious ankle sprain during the DHL Stormers' United Rugby Championship (URC) quarterfinal victory over Cardiff, and it is expected that Jurie Matthee will fill the flyhalf role.
