The NoordVaal competitions are steaming ahead, with exciting matches scheduled as the schools fight to secure playoff berths. In the Cup division, Garsfontein and Monnas are looking like the favourites, with Helpmekaar and Waterkloof backed to be the other teams to qualify for the playoffs.
An interesting weekend awaits; however, Garsfontein will/should continue their unbeaten run in the Cup despite Rustenburg’s desperation to secure their first win.
Monnas, who are still unbeaten, must be the favourites when hosting Menlopark. Monnas will start like a house on fire, and unfortunately they have shown that they run out of steam in the second half, but they should be able to cruise to an “easy” win against Menlopark, who have only won 1 of their 4 matches so far.
Both Helpmekaar and Noordheuwel are looking for their second win for the season in the NoordVaal competition, and the winners could put their hands up to qualify for the playoffs. Helpmekaar has shown their comeback capabilities when they ran out of time to beat Monnas a week ago. Noordheuwel, on the other hand, did beat EG Jansen 33-10 a week ago; however, they must be the underdogs on Saturday.
