
The Harlequins started like a house on fire and scored five unanswered tries within the first twenty-five minutes against the DHL Stormers to lead 33-00 at the halftime break. Four tries was scored by Harlequins in the second half to secure a brilliant 61-10 win.
Harlequins had a confident start to the match, and flanker Jack Kenningham picked up the ball following a great counter-rugby from the hosts to storm over for the first points of the match. Marcus Smith converted to extend Harlequins’ lead to 07-00.
Four minutes later, a bit of luck following a kick by Marcus Smith was quickly moved wide, and Cadan Murley scored in the corner, extending the Harlequins’ lead to 12-00 after ten minutes of play.
Brilliant interplay by the Harlequins when Jack Walker set Alex Dombrandt away with a brilliant inside pass to score Harlequins third try. Marcus Smith added the extra two to extend Harlequins' lead to 19-00 after fifteen minutes of play.
A Dewaldt Duvenhage kick was charged down, whereafter Harlequins pounced, and flanker Chandler Cunningham-South crashed over the Stormers tryline for the Harlequins' fourth and bonus-point try. Marcus Smith converted, extending the Harlequins' lead to 26-00 with fourteen minutes still to play in the first half.
Four minutes later, brilliant interplay and pinpoint passing led to Nick David scoring Harlequins fifth try. Smith added another two points to extend the hosts’ lead to 33-00, which was the halftime score.
Harlequins continued their absolute dominance in the second half, and Nick David scored their sixth try, followed by Nick Davids and Zach Carr to extend the Harlequins' lead to 54-00 with twenty minutes to play.
During the final fifteen minutes, tries by Imad Khan and Dylan Maart reduced the Harlequins' lead to 54-10.
A final try by Jarrod Evans extended Harlequins' lead to 61-10, which was the winning score.
