Grey College has appointed Noordheuwel’s forward coach, Ian Joubert, to their 1st XV coaching staff. Joubert joins head coach Jannie Geldenhuys and backline coach Bobby Joubert as part of Grey College’s effort to improve their 1st XV results amid the increasingly competitive landscape of schoolboy rugby.
Joubert is recognised for his role as forward coach, helping Noordheuwel High School to achieve notable success in schoolboy rugby competitions in recent years.
He has been consistently selected for provincial coaching duties. In October 2025, he was appointed as the forward coach for the Golden Lions U18 Craven Week team. He previously served as the forward coach for the Lions U18 Academy Week team.
