
The Blitzboks started their New York leg of the HSBC SVNS with a 22-07 win over New Zealand.
Following a solid scrum, the ball was spread wide to Selvyn Davids out wide. David’s speed was more than enough to beat the defenders and score. The Blitzboks led 05-00 after two minutes of play in the first half.
Sebastiaan Jobb broke two tackles to score the Blitzboks second try with time up on the clock. Dewald Human converted to extend the Blitzboks’ lead to 12-00 going into the second half.
With the All Blacks reduced to five players, Sebastiaan Jobb found enough space to score his second try of the match, extending the Blitzboks' lead to 17-00.
A mistake made by the All Blacks from the kickoff was spread wide to Grant de Jager out wide, to score his first try for the Blitzboks. The Blitzboks led 22-00.
With time up on the clock, New Zealand attacked from within their 22m and scored a great try to cut the Blitzboks' lead to 22-07, which was also the final score.
