The Wallabies are safe from falling further down the table in defeat, as they maintain a 3.24-point lead over Fiji. Conversely, Argentina cannot rise above seventh place even with a win, though a victory would bring Los Pumas within a tight 0.22 rating point of Scotland in sixth.
