The Suzuki Griquas scored 12 tries, thrashing the Lusitanos 76-07 on Sunday afternoon at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein to conclude the South African leg of the 2026 Toyota Challenge with an unbeaten record.
The Suzuki Griquas showed no mercy against their Portuguese opponents, dominating from the opening whistle to the final hooter. Griquas established control early on, dismantling the Lusitanos' defensive lines with heavy physical pressure and quick handling.
The Griquas built a solid 24-07 lead by the break, weathering early resistance from the touring side while executing structured, point-scoring plays.
The floodgates opened in the second half. The Griquas systematically stretched the tired Lusitanos defence, crossing the try-line repeatedly while completely shutting out the visitors from scoring any further points.
