The Airlink Pumas bounced back convincingly from their opening-round defeat against Black Lion, beating Lusitanos 57-24.
Despite head coach Jimmy Stonehouse making 15 changes to the starting squad, the Lowvelders completely controlled the game from the outset, taking a commanding 26-3 lead at half-time.
Tino Swanepoel scored a brilliant hat-trick, and Simon Westraadt and Marvelous Mashimbyi scored a barce of tries each.
The Pumas eventually crossed the whitewash nine times to seal a dominant victory. Although the Portuguese outfit scored three late tries to bring respectability to the scoreboard, they were heavily outmatched by the physical dominance of the South African side.
