
The Blitzboks secured a clinical 26-05 win over Kenya at the HSBC SVNS World Championship at Bordeaux following a disappointing loss to Great Britain in their first Pool A match earlier today.
Kenya made a dominant start in the first half; however, it was Shilton van Wyk who finished a long-distance try to open the scoring and led 05-00 after two minutes of play. Four minutes later, van Wyk crossed for his second try , extending their lead to 12-00 with a minute to play in the first half.
Quewin Nortje ran a brilliant line and scored the Blitzboks’ third try, extending their lead to 19-00 after two minutes of play in the second half. Two minutes later, Nortje crossed for his second try. With time up on the clock, Kenya scored a consolation try. The Blitzboks secured a 26-05 win.
