
A brilliant Blitzboks secured a 36-00 win against Argentina to secure first place in Pool A, qualifying for the quarter finals at 12:28 (SA Time).
The Blitzboks started like a house on fire, and Sebastiaan Jobb scored in the corner to open the scoring after two minutes of play. Ryan Oosthuizen pounced on a mistake by Argentina to extend the Blitzboks’ lead to 12-00 following the conversion by Sebastiaan Jobb. With a minute to play, Selvyn Davids sniped from behind a scrum to run fifty meters for the Blitzboks' third try. A Tristan Leyds try just before the halftime break secured the Blitzboks a 26-00 lead.
Shilton van Wyk scored within thirty seconds of the second half. Thereafter, Tristan Leyds added his second try to extend the Blitzboks' lead to 38-00, which was the final score.
