With most of the bigger schools in the KZN region not in action and Westville Boys in Pretoria, it can be a very boring weekend if schoolboy rugby is your passion.
Northwood host Parktown and still looking for their first win after eight matches. Parktown who did not play last weekend travels to Northwood with three losses from eight matches and should expect to win this derby. Clifton hosts George Campbell in a match that should see Clifton winning this one.
Then for the game that should provide the most excitement in the boring KZN this weekend. Maritzburg College hosts DHS in what promise to be an exciting match. DHS is known for their exciting brand of rugby they play and although they may have lost their fair share of matches this year they are on a five-match winning streak with Kearsney their latest victim. Maritzburg's season is also not what stories are made of but their opponents were a lot better than that of DHS and the last few weeks they played good rugby although the lost. An away loss against KES of 39-20 and a win of 42-31 against Michaelhouse is proof that the giant of the Midlands is rising again. DHS or Maritzburg College? A very risky call to make but I think home ground advantage could just be the deciding factor.
