
The Springboks finished the 2025 season in style with a 73-0 demolition of Wales in Cardiff, where they pulled away in the second half of the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour Test after leading by 28-0 at the break.
Following the expected physical onslaught by the Springboks, it was Gerhard Steenekamp who powered his way over the tryline for the first try of the game. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu converted to edge the Springboks into a 07-00 lead with thirty minutes still to play in the first half.
Two minutes later great interplay between Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Damian Willemse led to Ethan Hooker, who scored a great try out wide. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu converted to extend the Springboks’ lead to 14-00.
Wales absorbed a lot of pressure up front and managed to keep the Springboks from scoring; however, Jasper Wiese broke from the back of a dominant scrum to crash over for the Springboks' third try. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu converted to extend the Springboks' lead to 21-00 and ten minutes still to play in the first half.
With time up on the clock, Morne van den Berg scored another fantastic try. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu converted for the Springboks, going into the second half leading 28-00.
The Springboks started like a house on fire and led 49-00 following tries by Wilco Louw,

Following the introduction of the bomb squad, Andre Esterhuizen, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, Ruan Nortje, and Eben Etzebeth added their names to the list of try scorers to secure a 73-00 win over their hosts.
