
The Springboks Women's Sevens opened their HSBC campaign against World Champions Australia with a 00-52 loss.
The Springbok Women's Sevens started like a house on fire, however, it was Australia who scored first after two minutes of play to take an early 07-00 lead. Unfortunately, three more tries had the world champions going into the halftime break with a 28-00 lead.
Australia's four further tries during the second half gave them a 52-00 win.
