The organisers of the Noordvaal competitions announced some changes to the structures of the Division One competition.
Previously announced was that the number of schools that will compete in the various divisions will be reduced to eight in 2027, from the current ten. That meant that one school will be automatically promoted while two schools will be demoted at the end of the 2025 season. The same promotion/relegation will be applied at the end of the 2026 season.
However, the Bowl Division will be split into two divisions: the Eastern and Western Divisions, each with six teams. At the end of the 2026 competition, the two top teams per division will play a semi-final before a final is played.
