The schoolboy rugby fraternity is slowly changing gears with the attention shifting to the youth weeks that are due to start in a few weeks.
However, Bloemfontein is in for a final second-term treat when Monnas is travelling from Krugersdorp to come and test the kings of schoolboy rugby at home while most of the region's schools played their last matches of the term a week ago.
Grey College only lost to Jeppe (19-22) in eleven matches up to date with their list of victims many of the top 1st XV's in the country. Monnas on the other hand has a shaky start to the season, however, they are looking for their fourth win in a row.
Grey showed in their 31-27 win over Affies that they can change to overdrive whenever it is needed despite enormous pressure being applied. Grey is missing one or two vital players on Saturday but I do think they have as always an overload of talent and depth that will test Monnas.
The Monnas team has grown a lot since their first loss against Paarl Gim and especially since their loss to EG Jansen in late April. Their match fitness is improving a lot and their backline is becoming a deadly weapon.
Unfortunately for Monnas, Grey's most dangerous tool is their counterattacks and if Monnas can not limit their mistakes anywhere on the pitch Grey will make them pay.
