A ruthless Vodacom Bulls U20 outfit delivered a rugby masterclass at Loftus, hammering the Hollywoodbets Sharks U20 Gen 59-07. The young Pretoria team dominated from start to finish, crossing the whitewash nine times to completely dismantle their coastal rivals.
Bulls’ winger Junaide Stuart broke the deadlock in the 13th minute, crashing over out wide to kickstart the scoring frenzy. Thereafter the Pretoria pack took complete control of the collisions, securing clean front-foot ball. Flanker Kebotile Maake dotting down before Stefan McDonald bulldozed through a fracturing Sharks defence.
Just before the break, the hosts rubbed salt in the wounds. Brooklyn Newmans scoring the bonus-point try to take a 26-0 halftime lead as the visitors looked completely shell-shocked.
The Bulls showed no signs of slowing down after the interval, with Jonathan Harding scoring almost immediately. However, the match briefly descended into chaos as a flurry of yellow cards hit both sides, reducing the field to a frantic sevens-style contest.
The Sharks capitalised on the temporary space, striking back through Wasi Vyambwera to briefly get themselves onto the scoreboard. Stefan Moolman added the extras, but any hopes of a coastal fightback were instantly extinguished.
Once the Bulls restored order, the floodgates opened completely in the final quarter. Dylan Engelbrecht and Hendré Schoeman scored in rapid succession, before Christiaan Grundling and Bongani Dlamini put the final touches on a massive 52-point victory.
