JF van Heerden was named the Ruggas.co.za 2022 Forward of the Year at a function hosted at the Centurion Campus of Stadio Holdings.
JF van Heerden played for the Grey College 1stXV and also represented the Free State at the u/18 Craven Week and was selected for the SARU u/18 schools team as well as the SARU u/18 team that won the u/18 International Series hosted in Stellenbosch earlier the year. JF van Heerden was the type of lock which is feared the world over. Brilliant in the lineouts, as hard as nails in the loose with an aura that just spells class.
