Reinach Excited About The Challenge England Will Bring

Springbok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach fronted the media on Tuesday and said the Springboks are completely aware of the challenge that waits on them on Saturday against England in London at 19:40 (SA Time).

Reinach said he was pleased to be in London and was excited about the challenge ahead for the squad: “Obviously this is a compressed week for us, but the players are looking good, and meetings have been going well, so we’ll certainly prepare well for the Test this weekend.”

The Bok scrumhalf echoed Erasmus’ sentiments, that they are preparing to face a desperate England team after their defeats against Australia and New Zealand in the last two weeks and spoke highly of the rivalry between the nations going into the clash.

“Every Test match is a special game and has its own rivalry, although our last match against England was close in the World Cup semi-final, and then of course we faced them in the 2019 RWC final, so there is history between the teams,” said Reinach.

"So you can expect them to come out wanting to win the game. They are under pressure having close losses against the All Blacks and Australia. We must keep doing what we do and putting our plan into action on the field.

Reinach said he loved Tony Brown's changes since joining the Springbok coaching staff.

"Tony came in and changed the way we see the attack and taught us how to be brave on the attack. It's nice to have the ball in your hands and not just pass it off the deck all the time."
