Public voting for the annual 2026 Ruggas Awards is officially open on Ruggas.co.za. Following the public nomination phase, the final shortlists have been compiled across all categories, allowing rugby fans, parents, and schools to vote for their standout performers of the school rugby season.
These awards recognise the individual talent, coaching, and structural management behind South African schoolboy and schoolgirl rugby pathways.
Unlike the initial email nomination phase, public voting is fully digital and time-sensitive. Rugby communities must act fast to support their local schools and players:
* Public Voting Opened: Monday, 21 September 2026
* Public Voting Closes: Sunday, 27 September 2026 at 23:59 (Midnight)
* The Grand Finale: 09 October 2026 (Official 2026 Ruggas Awards Evening)
Voting System Rules
Votes are limited to one per category per device via the Ruggas Website. Winners from the top three candidates will be chosen by an expert panel after voting closes.
