The third round of the SARU u/21 Shield will be played on Saturday where some teams will be desperate to win their first match of the season while Eastern Province u/21 and Griffons u/21 will look to remain unbeaten when they face each other in Welkom.
Following the second round of matches, Eastern Province u/21 is still in first place with five points, thanks to their superior points difference. The Eastern Cape side is followed by Valke and SWD, both of whom are also on five points, while the Griffons and Griquas are on four points each, and Pumas are in sixth place with one point.
Griffons u/21 vs Eastern Province u/21
Eastern Province as well as their opponents, the Griffons u/21 had byes last weekend and will play in Welkom at the HT Pellatona Projects Stadium on Saturday at 14h00.
Pumas u/21 vs Valke u/21
The Pumas u/21 will host the Valke u/21 Saturday in Middelburg at the Middelburg H/S at 15h00.
The Valke registered their first win of the campaign after outplaying SWD 36-27 at the Bosman Stadium in Brakpan in Round 2, while the Pumas u/21 lost to Griquas u/21 with 18-27. Griquas managed to register their first win courtesy at a match hosted at the Middelburg High School in Mpumalanga.
