
Northampton Saints held off Munster Rugby with four second-half tries to earn a bonus point 34-32 win and top Pool 3 to claim the top spot and a home knockout match in the Investec Champions Cup.
With some quick hands out wide, Tom Seabrook got the first score of the game for Northampton Saints in a shoot-out with Munster Rugby for the top spot in Pool 3.
It didn't take long for the visitors to reply though, with Conor Murray putting in a box kick and Calvin Nash out-pacing two Saints defenders to chase and touch down.
Just 10 minutes later Nash was on the end of some hot hands to score in the corner and put Munster ahead, before Curtis Langdon was on the end of a driving-maul line-up to hit back for Saints and Fin Smith made it 12-15 at half time.
But a double in the second half from Tom Seabrook to add to his try in the first 40, along with scores from Curtis Langdon and James Ramm, meant Saints took the victory despite two second-half tries from Munster's Diarmuid Kilgallen pushed them all the way.
After Jack Crowley converted Kigallen's second it closed the gap to just two points with a few minutes remaining, but Henry Pollock - having come on as a substitute late on - secured the game-winning turnover for Saints to secure a 34-32 win.
