Obviously, following the disappointment with the way the Springboks' starting lineup surrendered to an average All Black team, we were forced to re-evaluate the performance of the Springboks to consider them for our team of the week. Unfortunately, apart from Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit, no other Springbok even got close to getting the nod.
The first half performance of the All Blacks and Argentina gave them an edge when the final selection was made, and the average benches of the All Blacks and Argentina helped Australia to pull off a smash-and-grab against Argentina, while the Springboks almost did the unthinkable.
The All Blacks have ten, Argentina has four, and Australia has one player who got the nod.
