Manie Libbok has been recognised in the United Rugby Championship Awards by being voted the Vodacom Fans’ Player of the Season.
The 25-year-old DHL Stormers fly-half finished the regular campaign as the leading points-scorer with 167 from 16 appearances.
Adding a further 18 to that tally with a 100 per cent success rate from the tee with three conversions and four penalties as the DHL Stormers advanced to the semi-finals by beating the Vodacom Bulls 33-21 in Cape Town.
As DHL Stormers secured their Vodacom URC Grand Final spot, Libbok added an additional 23 points with two tries, five conversions and one penalty in their semi-final against Connacht
Libbok was named the Vodacom Player of the Match after helping the DHL Stormers move a step closer to retaining their title in front of 47,261 at the DHL Stadium in the Vodacom URC Semi-Final
The BKT Coach of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season are to be revealed next week in the build-up to the Grand Final on Saturday, May 27.
