The LSEN U18 week started on Saturday with a bang, with several boys using the opportunity to impress the national selectors. Eastern Province, Griffons, Western Province and the Valke issued early warnings, while the Lions must not be disregarded following their hard-earned win over the Blue Bulls.
Sharks 10-36 Leopards
The Leopards scored six tries to the two scored by the Sharks and led 17-05 at the halftime break with Leopards lock Reamogetswe Gaje named man of the match.

GLRU Lions 22-13 Blue Bulls
The Lions had to work hard to convert their 05-03 lead at the halftime break into a hard-fought 22-13 win. Lions flanker Gilbert Lebeya impressed in his team's win and was named the player of the match.

Falcons 40-28 Free State
The Valke issued an early warning to the other hopefuls with a dominant 40-28 win after scoring seven tries to the four of Free State. The Valke led 20-14 at the halftime break. Valke winger Ompile Dubase impressed with his speed as was deservedly named the player of the match.

The Western Province started like a house on fire and led 17-00 at the halftime break, eventually securing an impressive 35-12 win. Western Province's flanker Chandley Jacobs was voted man of the match for his outstanding efforts.

EP Elephants 41-03 Boland
A brilliant effort by the EP Elephants secured a 29-00 lead, and although they took their feet off the pedal to secure a 41-03 win. Uvern Adams and Andre Barnard scored three tries each; however, Adams was rewarded with the Man of the Match award.
