The DHL Stormers face Munster in a crucial United Rugby Championship (URC) Round 6 fixture on November 29, 2025, at Thomond Park in Limerick. Both teams enter unbeaten with five wins from five, making this a top-of-the-table clash that will decide the early-season leader before the European break.
He acknowledged Munster's reinforcements, including Ireland internationals like Tadhg Beirne returning after the Autumn Nations Series: "If you’ve got guys like Tadhg Beirne coming straight back in after the series he’s had, it shows how seriously they view this."
“We know it’s a massive challenge. Thomond Park is one of the cathedrals of European rugby, and our record there isn’t great. But this is a very different Stormers team from three or four years ago.”
"We have had the benefit of good preparation at home, and we know it will take a big effort to win our first match at Thomond Park. We need to be on our game for the full 80 minutes against a good Munster side, and hopefully we will be able to rise to the challenge to continue our winning start to the season."
Dobson said they will not be flying in any Springboks, sticking instead with the squad that trained together for the past three weeks.
“We felt strongly that we shouldn’t risk any of our Bok guys after the workload they’ve been through. Their tour started with an out-of-window Test in Japan. We also wanted to stay loyal to the group that prepped so well in Cape Town. Jetting guys in this week wouldn’t have been right for us.”
“This group is tight, focused and desperate. We know we’ve improved. Now we get to see how far.”
