Jan-Hendrik Wessels Suspended For Nine Weeks

According to reliable sources, Jan Hendrik Wessels was handed a nine-week suspension for an alledged act of foul play despite a lack of video evidence.

Wessels was found guilty following the alleged grabbing of Josh Murphy's (Connacht) genitals by Wessels. This allegedly happened in the 18th minute of Friday night’s United Rugby Championship match between Connacht and the Vodacom Bulls.

There was no conclusive video evidence for the match officials, though, and Wessels remained on the field with Murphy shown a twenty-minute red card for retaliation.
