
In a physical war, the Hollywood Sharks secured a 21-12 win over the Vodacom Bulls with two tries during the final ten minutes of the match.
Following an arm wrestle of fifteen minutes, and the Bulls on the attack, Handre Pollard’s pass was intercepted by Hakeem Kunene, who ran seventy meters to score the first try of the match. Jordan Hendrikse converted the try to extend the Sharks' lead to 07-00.
Handre Pollard converted three penalties and missed one to edge the Vodacom Bulls 09-07 into the lead at the halftime break.
The Sharks started the second half looking a lot better with their scrums standing up to the previous dominant Bulls scrum.
Handre Pollard continued his success from the tee and converted his fourth penalty of the match to extend the Bulls' lead to 12-07 with twenty-four minutes still to play in the second half.
The Sharks slowly wrestled the dominance away from their visitors, and following a penalty, the Sharks took a tap, and Siya Kolisi barged over the tryline to score the Sharks’ second try. George Whitehead
converted to edge the Sharks 14-12 in the lead with nine minutes to play.
A brilliant grubber by Jaden Hendrikse was controlled by Edwill van der Merwe to score the Sharks' third try, which was converted by George Whitehead to extend the Sharks' lead to 21-12, which was also the final score.
