
The DHL Stormers continued their great start to the 2025/26 Vodacom United Rugby Championship, beating the Scarlets 34-00, to secure a three-match unbeaten run, earning a bonus point at the Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.
The Stormers lead 17-00 at the halftime break; however, with the Scarlets conceding fourteen penalties in the first half, the Stormers have only themselves to blame for the fifteen-point lead at the halftime break. The second half was a scrappy affair; however, the Stormers did enough to secure a bonus point for their efforts.
The Stormers dominated the early exchanges, and following eleven minutes of play, the Stormers set up a maul ten meters from the Scarlets' tryline. At the end, it was Evan Roos who bulldozed his way over the tryline for the Stormers’ first try. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu converted.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu converted a penalty following two missed attempts to extend the Stormers' lead to 10-00 following sixteen minutes of play in the first half.
With time up on the clock, Paul de Villers scored off the back of a five-meter lineout-maul to extend the Stormers' lead to 17-00 at the halftime break.
With twenty-four minutes still to play in the second half, Ruben van Heerden bulldozed his way over the Scarlets’ tryline. Damian Willemse converted to extend the visitors' lead to 24-00.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu picked up a bouncing ball in the Scarlets’ red zone to score the Stormers' fourth and bonus-point try, extending the Stormers’ lead to 29-00.
With time running out, Imad Khan sniped next to a dominant scrum to extend the Stormers' lead to 34-00, which was the final score.
