Can Wynberg Do A “Boishaai” Against Paul Roos On Saturday

The Western Cape is already closed for the school holidays, with very few games scheduled for the weekend. Although the top three schools are in action, one must be honest that the fat lady is going to start singing a lot earlier this weekend.

What is positive is that most of the injuries will have time to heal during the school holiday, which should see the Western Cape coming out in full force in the third term.

Paarl Boishaai vs Bishops

Paarl Boishaai's big lead in rankings points will ensure that Bishops will not lose any points for being humiliated at Brug Street. Unfortunately, Bishops' good start to the season has become a horror story, not securing a win in seven matches, with their only highlight being a draw against SACS.

50 up for Boishaai.

SACS vs Paarl Gim

Motivation for the SACS team will be their "close" 03-22 loss to Paul Roos at the end of May. Will that prevent Gim from being ruthless and showing no mercy? No.

Wynberg vs Paul Roos

Wynberg has quietly been building a remarkable season, only losing to Stellenberg (10-24), Helpmekaar (17-18) and Boishaai (26-32). Paul Roos only lost three matches in thirteen played; however, we are missing the bling of their 2024 season. Some pundits are predicting that Paul Roos will go down to a "minnow" sooner or later. However, it would be an absolute insult to call Wynberg a minnow; therefore, if Wynberg beat Paul Roos, it would be an upset but not a miracle. Their win over Boishaai in 2024 was a miracle.

And yes, the Village Idiot is standing outside with only his Faffie as protection from the cold, with a big smile on his face.
