Brilliant Blitzboks Secure Place In Cup Playoffs In Toulon With Win Over USA 7s

 

The Blitzboks continued their fine form in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series hosted in Toulon with a brilliant and comprehensive 24-07 win against the USA 7s in their final Pool C match. The Blitzboks will play Argentina at 19:05 SA Time in the third quarter-final.

Ronald Brown slipped through the defence after a brilliant show and go to score the Blitzboks' first try. The USA replied almost immediately from the kickoff to score their own long-distance try to take the lead 07-05 after three minutes of play, which was also the halftime score.

After two minutes of play, Christie Grobbelaar burst through several tackles to open the scoring for the Blitzboks in the second half to retake the lead at 12-07. Dewald Human and Shaun Williams also scored great tries each to beat the USA 24-07.11 soring

The Blitzboks' best performance in a while as they outplayed the USA 7s with brilliance and clinical play.
