Blitzboks Defence Cost Them Against Fiji In Dubai

 

The Blitzboks’ lack of effort on the defence cost them against a hard-running Fiji. Fiji scored four unanswered tries to secure a convincing 28-10 win at the Emirates Dubai 7s.

The Blitzboks were first to open their account when Ronald Brown scored in the corner.

A minute later, Fiji’s Joseva Talacolo breezed past two defenders to score a long-distance try. Waisea Nacuqu converted to edge Fiji 07-05 in the lead after three minutes of play in the first half.

Following six minutes of action, Pilipo Bukayaro slipped past the “defence” of the Blitzboks to score Fiji’s second try. George Bose converted to extend Fiji’s lead to 14-05, which was the halftime score.

Fiji’s Jeremaia Matana and Apete Narogo added their name to the scoresheet. whereafter Tristan Leyds scored a consolation try. Fiji deservedly secured a 28-05 win.
