
The Blitzboks continued their great form in Cape Town defeating New Zealand 19-14 in their second win of the HSBC Cape Town SVNS.
With the Blitzboks reduced to six after just two minutes of play, New Zealand upped the pace of their attack, after which Tone Ng Shiu scored a great individual try, extending the All Blacks' lead to 07-00 following the conversion by Sofai Notoa-Tipo.
Following a great start by New Zealand early in the second half, the Blitzboks attacked from within the twenty-two and eventually Donavan Don scored a try, which was converted by Tristan Leyds to level the scores.
A minute later, Shilton van Wyk scored the Blitzboks' second to extend the Blitzboks’ lead to 14-07 thanks to a Ronald Brown conversion.
With two minutes to play, New Zealand conceded a penalty from which the Blitzboks took a quick tap, and eventually Ronald Brown scored the Blitzboks' third try to lead 19-07.
However, New Zealand attacked from the kick-off and Scott Gregory scored under the sticks. Riley Williams converted; however, the Blitzboks secured a deserved 19-14 win.
