Union Bordeaux-Begles scored ten tries on their way beating the Hollywoodbets Sharks 66-12 in an Investec Champions Cup. With the loss the Hollywoodbets Sharks were kicked out of the Top 16, however, they still qualified for the EPCR Challenge Cup Top 16.
The Hollywoodbets Sharks started like a house on fire and scored two quick tries within the first seven minutes of the first half. Siya Masuku and Hakeem Kunene crossed while Masuku added a conversion to put the Sharks in the lead 12-00.
Winger Damian Penaud struck twice in five minutes to level the scores 12-12 after Matthieu Jalibert converted once after seventeen minutes of play.
Matthieu Jalibert scored his third try with time already up on the clock. The conversion by Jalibert extended Bordeaux's lead to 19-12 going into the second half.
At the halftime break, the Sharks dominated territory (63%) and possession (57%) but did fail to convert scoring opportunities on three occasions.
Bordeaux had a sensational start to second-half when Maxime Lucu scored the hosts' fourth and bonus-point try, which Jalibert converted to extend their lead to 26-12.
Thereafter, Ugo Boniface, Yoram Moefana, Damian Penaud (3) and Jacques Nguimbous scored tries to secure a 68-12 win
