Former Springbok star Zeenay Jordan has joined the Bulls Daisies as an assistant coach on an initial 2-year deal.
Jordan boasts a decorated resume that includes club colours for Border, EP and Harlequins of England. She made three Rugby World Cup appearances and 36 test caps since making her XV’s debut in 2009 and also featured in the same number of Sevens World Cups, having made her debut in the fast-paced format of the game back in 2008.
Before arriving in the capital, Jordan spent the last two years as the backline coach of E.P Queens.
“Personally, it is a massive privilege to be part of this professional setup. I believe it is a great environment to grow as a coach as well as share the knowledge that I have gained as a player over the years with the Daisies,” says Jordan.
Coach Zee adds: “I believe God would not have put me in a position where He did not see me fit. So, I look forward to a great time of growth for everyone involved and I hope to positively contribute to the success of this great franchise.”
“Zeenay has proven her quality over the past couple of seasons in the coaching ranks and brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and understanding for the game from her many years of playing,” says Thando Manana, the Executive for Strategic Projects at the Blue Bulls Company (BBCo).
“She shares the same passion as we do for the professionalisation of women’s rugby and her commitment to upskilling others will do our ladies a world of good, especially going into 2025” Manana concludes.
