It has been confirmed that SA Schools and Sharks loose-forward Evan Roos will be available to the Western Province after a 9 months loan agreement was agreed upon by the Sharks. This is good news for Western Province especially since the rumours started of the department of current #8 Juarno Augustus.
Roos made an impressive start for the Cell C Sharks in the 2020 Super Hero Sunday at Loftus in Pretoria when he dominated the statistics. He was also one of the stars in the Cell C Sharks u/21 squad during the 2020 u/21 SA Rugby Championship.
Roos made his Currie Cup debut for the Sharks in August 2019, coming on as a replacement in their match against the Free State Cheetahs in Round Five of the 2019 season.
Born in Cape Town 21 years ago and initially educated at Affies in Pretoria, Roos represented WP Schools at the Craven Week and gained selection for SA Schools in 2018.
He attained cult status at Boys High for a 50-metre try he scored in the annual Interschools clash with Paarl Gimnasium in 2018.
