Faf de Klerk And Vincent Koch Snatched Up After Springbok Snub

Barbarian F.C. have added double Rugby World Cup winners Faf de Klerk and Vincent Koch, and Australia international Lukhan Salakaia-Loto to their squad ahead of next Saturday’s clash with Wales at Allianz Stadium.

Faf de Klerk and Vincent Koch both link up with the Baa-Baas ahead of their return to London.

De Klerk came off the bench and scored a try for the world champions in their YesPlay Cup victory over the Barbarians in Port Elizabeth.

Barbarian F.C. head coach Scott Robertson said: “It’s great to add Faf and Vincent for the Wales week. They are both great players with heaps of quality and experience, but most importantly, they are good men who will embrace all of the values the Barbarians stand for.

“There are a number of players coming in this week, and we will enjoy each other’s company before we have a crack at Wales at Twickenham.”

Second-row-cum-back-row enforcer, Salakaia-Loto, starred for Queensland Reds during the recent Super Rugby season.

However, he will now swap maroon for the famous black and white hoops of the Baa-Baas.

The 29-year-old, who stands at 6ft 6ins and tips the scales at more than 19 stone, has previously enjoyed stints at Reds, Melbourne Rebels and Northampton Saints.

He has forged a reputation for his physicality and rampaging ball-carrying, which he will bring to the famous invitational club.
