Leinster Cruise Past Fidelity SecureDrive Lions To Secure Home URC Semi-final Against DHL Stormers

Leinster dominated the Fidelity SecureDrive Lions from the first whistle, securing a nine-try-to-two 59-10 win with brilliant handling and interplay.

Leinster had a “dominant” start to the match, and following wave after wave of attacks, the ball was spread wide to Dan Sheehan, who strolled over for Leinster's first try of the match. Sam Prendergast converted the try, extending Leinster’s lead to 07-00 after 10 minutes of play.

Leinster continued their brilliant attacking play, creating holes in the Lions' defence until Hugo Keenan slipped past several defenders to score Leinster's second try. Predercast was on target again, extending Leinster’s lead to 14-00 after 15 minutes of play in the first half.

Despite being dominated for most of the first half, the Lions worked their way up the field and, following wave after wave of attacks, Henco van Wyk crashed over to cut Leinster’s lead to 14-05 with three minutes to play in the first half.

Leinster replied immediately as James Ryan crashed over to extend Leinster’s lead to 21-05 going into the half-time break.

Apart from a try by Henco van Wyk in the second half, Leinster scored at regular intervals to secure a 59-10 win, securing them hosting a URC semi-final against the DHL Stormers on Saturday 06 June 2026.
