Riley Norton will lead an exciting Junior Springbok squad for the third edition of SANZAAR’s Under-20 Rugby Championship, which starts on 27 April in Gqeberha.
Junior Bok head coach Kevin Foote included four members of the SA U20 squad that won the Junior World Championship in Italy last year, as well as several of the most promising young local rugby talent. Apart from Norton, Siphosethu Mnebelele, Oliver Reid, and Vusi Moyo were members of the successful Junior Bok side of last year. They are joined in the squad by Markus Muller, Ethan Adams (both centres), Gert Kemp (No 8) and Kai Pratt (prop), all of whom played for the SA U18 side last year.
Cheswill Jooste (wing) and Zekhethelo Siyaya (fullback) were placed on standby pending their duties in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, along with Jade Muller and Akahluwa Boqwana.

New Zealand Rugby (NZR) National Pathways Head Coach Kane Jury has named 30 players to contest the 2026 Under 20 Rugby Championship in South Africa. The squad includes six returning players from the team that narrowly lost to South Africa in last year’s World Rugby Under 20 Championship, while five have playing experience in the NPC.
The squad was selected by Jury and his Assistant Coaches Brock James, James Lentjes, and Will Henry with NZR High Performance Talent Identification Manager PJ Williams providing detailed insights and data during the selection process.
One additional player will be added to the squad before they fly out to South Africa on 20 April, while nine non-travelling reserves will attend a pre-departure camp at the New Zealand Campus of Innovation & Sport in Wellington from 12-19 April.

Australia U20 head coach Chris Whitaker has revealed a 31-man squad for their U20 Rugby Championship campaign in South Africa.
The squad came together in Sydney on 18 April before flying out to South Africa for three games in thirteen days.
The side is coming off a successful training camp where they claimed wins against both the Fiji U20s and Japan U23s as part of the Coffs Coast Festival of Rugby.

The Argentina U20 team (Los Pumitas): Before leaving for South Africa, Los Pumitas will hold a training camp at the Hindu Club from April 17 to 20.
The 31-man squad, captained by Jerónimo Sorondo (Belgrano), features experienced players from 2025, including Jeremy Annand, Nicolás Cambiasso, Pedro Coll, Tomás Dande, and Ramón Fernández Miranda.
Many players also featured in the 2026 Super Rugby Americas (SRA) for franchises like Dogos, Capibaras, and Tarucas.
