Stellenberg 40-00 Bellville
Stellenberg scored the first try of the match within the first two minutes of the match. Stellenberg dominated everything and let 20-00 at the halftime break. Stellenberg continued the onslaught and scored eight unanswered tries to win 40-00.
Boland Landbou 20-25 Bishops
Boland Landbou dominated possession and territory for most of the first half. After ten minutes of play Boland's scrummie sniped and scored Boland's first try of the match to lead 05-00. Boland's second try was scored by their fullback after fifteen minutes of play. Boland using their big boys to break down Bishops defensive wall. With two minutes to play, Bishops launched a 15 man attack and following a tap-and-go Bishops bulldozed their way over the tryline to cut Boland's lead to 10-05. However Boland was not done yet and scored a good try off the back of a five-meter lineout maul to lead 15-05 at the halftime break.
Bishop was first to score in the second half when they spread the ball wide for their winger to score. Bishops upped the pace of their attack and started to find holes in Boland's defence at regular intervals. Bishop scored a great fifteen man try as they patiently built their attack scoring after several phases. Bishops looked in total contral after ten minutes of play in the second half. Bishops spread the ball wide off a dominant scrum to score their fourth try to take a 20-15 lead. Bishop's forwards ssteamrolled their way over Boland's tryline to extend their lead to 25-15 with two minutes to play. Boland struck back almost immediately, spreading their ball wide from a scrum and scored a great try.
Bishops deservedly beat Boland Landbou 25-20, coming back from trailing 05-15 at the halftime break, scoring four unanswered tries, dominating everything in the second half.
Milnerton 05-30 Durbanville
Milnerton initailly stood up to the big boys of Durbanville; however, when Durbanville's backline was brought into the attack they scored three great tries with four minutes to lead 15-00 after eleven minutes of play in the first half. A mistake after mistake made by Milnerton in their ingoal area was pounced on by Durbanville to score their fourth try to lead 20-00 with four minutes to play in the first half.
Durbanville continued their dominance in the second half and scored their fifth try after just two minutes of play in the second half. Despite a come-back effort from Milnerton it was Durbanville who scored again with ten minutes to play. Milnerton intercepted in their own twenty-two and scored a great individual try to cut Durbaville's lead to 30-05.
Paarl Gim 30-05 SACS
Paarl Gim made seven changes to their starting line-up that lost to Stellenberg on Saturday, SACS dominated possession and territory during the opening stages of the match. However, Gim found their mojo after six minutes of play and following great interplay opening the scoring with a try in the corner. SACS continued their "dominance" with only the disciplined defence by Gim keeping the from scoring. However, after twelve minutes of play SACS' big boys punched big holes in the defence of Gim to level the scores with a bulldozing try. Gim replied immediately and showed if the attack at speed not many defences will keep them from scoring. Gim led 10-05 with five minutes still to play in the first half.
Paarl Gim started the second half at pace and opened the scoring with a brilliant try to lead 15-05. A gritty SACS asked several questions from Gim; however, Gim scored their fourth try to lead 20-05 using their big runners to gain several meters before crashing over. A red card to SAS did not stop SACS to keep asking question from Gim as they kept Gim from scoring untill one minute left to play when Gim scored their fifth try, again showing great interplay their strenght. Gim finished the match off with their sixth try to win 30-05, with their forwards bulldozing over the SACS tryline.
Rondebosch 05-20 Paarl Boishaai
Boishaai started like a house on fire and scored the first try after just two minutes of play. The rest of the half was a comedy of errors; however, Boishaai launched a fifteen man attack and scored under the sticks with time up on the clock. Boishaai led 10-00 at the halftime break.
Boishaai scored off the back of a lineout maul to extend their lead to 15-00 after three minutes of play in the second half. Rondebosch replied almost immediately with a try off a lineout maul to cut Boishaai's defence 15-05. With ten minutes to play Boishaai started to gain momentum and set up camp in Rondeboch's half. Eventually Boishaai's forwards got just reward for their hard work and bulldoze their way over for Boishaai's fourth try to secure a 20-05 win.
Paul Roos 15-05 Wynberg
Paul Roos showed their early season class and used their quality driving mauls to put pressure on Wynberg. From anouther maul Paul Roos used their forwards to pick and go untill they crossed the tryline of Wynberg after four minutes of play. Minutes later Wynberg scored a long-distance intercept try to level the scores 05-05. Wynberg finished the stronger team at the end of the first half.
Paul Roos took a quick tap five meters out a bulldozed their way over for Paul Roos' second try to lead 10-05. Despite several mistakes made by both teams, Paul Roos spread the ball wide to their winger who stepped and used his speed to score Roos' third try with seven minutes to play. Paul Roos did enough to win 15-05.
