Xerox Lions Win A Brutal Battle At Emirates Airline Park

All eyes were at the Emirates Airline Park for the final match of the weekend on Saturday between the Xerox Lions and DHL Western Province. Both sides gave everything but a brilliant last five minutes gave the Xerox Lions a 22-19 win.

Both sides gave their all in a brutal fight until the end, The scores were level several times as both sides took any points that came their way which was mostly in the form of penalties. The Xerox Lions moved into fourth position on the log just two points behind the DHL Western Province.

With 12 minutes to go the momentum slowly shifted in favour of the Lions with Western Province defence being tested to its limit.

The first half a "scrappy" game as both sides struggled to dominate the other. Both sides defence was of the highest standard and although Western Province was in the lead the Xerox Lions maybe just have the edge at halftime.
