Xerox Lions In Brilliant form Against Toyota Cheetahs

The Toyota Cheetahs hosted the Xerox Lions in a battle for the fourth spot on the Carling Currie Cup log. The Xerox Lions dominated from the start of the game and scored a bonus-point win with 23-39.

The first half came alive after the first twenty minutes and although the Lions lead was only 13-9 at the break the battle was already won. A blitzkrieg of three tries in the first ten minutes in the second half sealed the deal for the Lions.

The Lions were deservedly in the lead at the halftime break. Their pack of forwards are providing an abundance of quality ball to their backline who is starting to punch holes in the Cheetahs defence.

The Cheetahs ill-discipline at this stage the main reason for their nightmares. The Lions used the penalties against the Cheetahs to camp in the Cheetahs 22, from where they launched precise fifteen man attacks.
