Wynberg Boys’ High School announced Nic Groom, former WP and Stormers captain, as Director of Rugby. Nic, currently assisting UCT in the Varsity Cup, picks up the reigns of the WBHS rugby programme from Craig Childs who after 6 years as Director has taken a coaching position with WP Rugby.
Nic, with a Business Science degree in Organisational Psychology and more than 200 provincial and first-division career rugby appearances, is set to hit the ground running in the weeks ahead:
It’s a great honour to be involved with Wynberg and having had a front-row seat for the last couple of months seeing what Craig and his team of educators and rugby men have done, I’m really looking forward to getting started and adding to what is already an incredibly successful rugby programme
