Willie Le Roux At Flyhalf Had Good And Bad Moments Against DHL Stormers

Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White said at the post-match media conference that the selection of Springbok fullback Willie le Roux at flyhalf against the DHL Stormers was a forced one and le Roux needs time to settle at flyhalf.

"At times good. At times he looked like he was a fullback trying to slot in at 10. It would be unfair for me to say he was bad or good because I always knew there was going to be good and bad in the fixture."

I'm not sure I want to leave him there because he's making me bloody old. He wants to throw passes and all that. I have also got to trust him that he has a feel for what his skill set is."

"I didn't have a captain, I lost Ruan Nortje and I lost Elrigh Louw and I thought if he plays full-back he's just too far away to be the captain. I needed him a bit closer. Did it work? There were times when it worked."

"There was a time there where he wanted the ball and then he didn't want it so he just stood there and let the ball bounce between him. I'm going to ask him if you want it you must take it. You can't only have it when you want it."

"He needs time to settle into flyhalf."
