The coming weekend will be the cherry on top of what was a brilliant 2023 Schoolboy Rugby Festival season, when all eyes will be on Kimberley where 8 of the top 10 1stXV rugby teams will compete for bragging rights until 2024.
The success of a festival is not determined by the number of top schools that is participating but rather by the competitiveness of the fixtures.
Apart from maybe one or two fixtures, the organisers of the Wildeklawer Rugby Festival got it absolutely spot on. Then the cherry on the cake is three matches that will go a long way to determine the best 1stXV in 2023.
