What to Expect From Day Three @ The KES Festival

09h45 - Eldoraigne vs Marlow

Eldoraigne that has beaten Hudson Park 10-5 in a dull wet game on day one of the festival and has beaten Jeppe convincingly 38-16 faces a Marlow team that hurts after they still are looking for their first win st this festival, losing 12-27 against Waterkloof and 26-32 against Wynberg. Both these sides that Marlow lost to is of "similar" strength that that of Eldoraigne and one could expect Eldoraigne to win in a tough battle the will be decided at the back. Marlow could surprise if they use their bigger pack of forwards to ensure their dangerous backs with quality ball. Marlow's scrumhalf is a real live wire and if not contained will spark a Marlow victory.

11h00 - Hudson Park vs Waterkloof

Hudson Park came good after their day 1 defeat against Eldoraigne and has beaten Northwood convincingly 51-7. Waterkloof must be the best improving 1stXV in the country and after successive victories against Marlow 27-12 and Ben Vorster, 38-24 must be the favourite. However, in their match against Ben Vorster, they nearly gave away a big lead after the first half when Ben Vorster started to use their big forwards. Waterkloof to play an expansive game and run Hudson off their feet? Think so.

12h15 - Noordheuwel vs Wynberg

Noordheuwel may not have had the best competitors to gauge their quality but did win Northwood 19-13 and Kingswood 35-22, but both these two schools have not won once at the festival. Wynberg, on the other hand, lost against KES 42-17 but came good in the second day beating Marlow 32-26. So on paper Wynberg should win this one but Noordheuwel under the guidance of Hans Coetzee will be well prepared and be able to slow the game down to keep those big forwards of them into play.

13h30 - Jeppe vs Ben Vorster

Jeppe is not doing well under their new coach and lost against Rondebosch 0-26 and 16-38 against Eldoraigne. Against Eldoraigne they did show some glimpses of their past brilliance and was in the lead early in the second half. If that will be enough to beat the boys from Best Vorster I am not sure of. Ben Vorster in their second game came close to beat Waterkloof losing 24-38 after it seemed in the first half if Waterkloof will win with a cricket score. They also beat Kingswood 25-10 in their first-day match. Jeppy's season will unfortunately not improve.

14h45 - KES vs Kingswood

Kingswood will only be looking to keep the scores low against a quality side like KES. This could become ugly.
