A lot of criticism is levelled after the Springboks' effort against Australia on Saturday morning. Some of the criticism is deserved while some are absolute astonishing by visibly upset South African rugby supporters.
According to myself and Francois I, the main reason are the absence of the "head coach" Rassie Erasmus in Australia. Secondly, the injury to Pieter-Steph du Toit should not have been that detrimental, however, the lack of International locks which are still not addressed will cost the Springboks for years to come.
Several players are completely lacking passion and commitment well knowing that the coaching staff will not drop them from the side. It is dark days for South Africa until we start preparing our youngsters for the test arena.
Springbok rugby is exactly where we were before Rassie arrived from Ireland.
