The DHL Western Province finished the league stage of the Carling Currie Cup in the second position on the standings. They booked a home semi-final on Saturday @ 17h30 against the Cell C Sharks. The two teams' game during the league phase was cancel due to Covid19 restrictions.

Western Province has a massive pack of forwards which they used to strangle "all life" from their opponents and used the dominance to secure territorial advantage. Tries from 5m line-outs and converted penalties were used to edge out wins. The decision making will also be very important in the semi-final with their "doubtful" kicking set to allow the Sharks' dangerous outside backs to counter-attack.

The availability of Steven Kitshoff will be vital in the WP hopes to travel to Loftus next weekend.
